Description
An impregnated fireproof board with increased resistance to moisture. It is intended for use in rooms with high humidity, such as bathrooms or kitchens. In these rooms, the relative humidity may exceed 70%, but may not be higher than 85%, for no longer than 10 hours a day. The board has a cardboard-lined and flattened Norgips S long edge and an evenly cut short edge. The gypsum core of the board has an increased density, it is reinforced with glass fiber and a hydrophobic substance (paraffin or silicone) is added to it. The board is used as a sheathing of partition and curtain walls, suspended ceilings and attic buildings, in order to obtain partitions with a specific fire resistance (max. EI 180) in rooms with increased humidity.
Norgips S edge - edge flattened. This edge makes it possible to obtain a smooth surface at the joint of plasterboards. A slight flattening reduces the consumption of filler in the joint. Connections with the Norgips S edge require reinforcement with reinforcing tapes.
