Description
Characteristics
Resistance to high temperatures allows the use of PP-b systems in conditions of increased flow of high-temperature sewage (washing machines, dishwashers, etc.). Pipelife pipes are an ideal choice for places such as hotels, restaurants, hypermarkets, laundries, where due to the composition of sewage, a sewage system with increased technical parameters is needed,
Resistance to alkali, acids and inorganic salts allows for wide use of Pipelife pipes in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, in car workshops and car washes. Sewage can be discharged with a pH from 2 to 12,
Very good hydraulic parameters obtained, among others, thanks to the smooth and shiny inner surface and the shape of the cup. These features prevent the deposition of fatty substances, which protects the installation against clogging,
Impact resistance, in particularly low temperatures, is important for installation in winter conditions,
Installation resistance to ice plugs,
The very light weight of the products resulting from the low specific gravity and geometry makes it the lightest sewer system available on the market.
The durability of the installation is estimated at least 50 years,
Tightness and high durability of connections of system elements. Thanks to the tight connector, the pipes are easy to install and effectively protected against leaks. The gasket is installed in such a way that it does not move even during the assembly of the system.
Temperature properties
All internal sewage pipes are made of PP-b copolymer polypropylene. The internal sewage system made of PP-b is also called high impact due to its excellent mechanical properties in a wide temperature range. The higher resistance to PP-b compared to PVC is associated with a higher glass transition temperature (Tg) PP-b than PVC. The Vicat softening point is 146 ° C for PP-b and 79 ° C for PVC. The comparison of ring stiffness for both of these materials as a function of temperature is presented in the diagram below.
The temperature properties of PP-b material bring the following benefits:
Compared to PE, PP-b shows higher hardness, impact strength, thermal resistance and stress corrosion resistance,
Resistance to high temperature sewage + 95 ° C, 100 ° C, which has been confirmed by receiving a certificate granted by ETA Denmark,
Very high impact resistance at temperatures down to -20 ° C (which is especially important when installing in winter conditions),
Higher impact strength of the internal sewage system made of PP-b at low temperatures compared to the sewage system made of ordinary PP polypropylene,
Products made of PP-b have a much higher temperature resistance - lower strength of PVC at elevated temperature forces the production of pipes with thicker walls, the so-called PVC / HT
The internal sewage system made of PP-b is safer than that of PVC from the point of view of the harmfulness of products resulting from combustion.
