The issue of cracks in concrete is the bane of all who met this problem. The variety of cracks causes designers to design concrete with reinforcement surplus. The most dangerous are cracks inside the structure, which can weaken the structure, especially when a structure is subjected to vibration, variable load or the impact of the environment. Equally important is the appearance of the surface of the concrete. Very often superficial cracks penetrate through the entire concrete structure causing it to weaken.
Microfibres with a special honeycomb are reserved for the most durable materials. They reduce cracking raising the consistency of concrete. Added to concrete, it gives rise to millions microstructures connected together in one concise whole. The construction of the fibers ensure even distribution of concrete mass in all directions, therefore, cracks and microcracks are reduced in all existing surfaces and throughout the monolith concrete block, which among other things reduces concrete soaking i.e. from ceilings.
Application Comparison of the classic reinforcement to the microfibers
Metal reinforcement nets may be, through microfibers, limited or in some cases (floor) completely replaced. The use of micro-fiber as a secondary reinforcement guarantees concrete surface at the highest level, which will never be achieved with conventional reinforcement grids. The fibers are resistant to water corrosion.
