Ytong blocks are intended, among others, for the construction of single-layer walls. The dimensional accuracy of Ytong blocks (± 1 mm) allows the elements to be perfectly matched to each other. The tongue and groove system eliminates the need for vertical joints. The blocks can be built using thin joint mortar, only completing the horizontal joint. Mineral plaster is used on masonry walls, the small thickness of which (external 15 mm, internal 5 mm thick), thanks to the smooth surface of the wall face, reduces its wear and speeds up finishing works.
W In the Ytong system, the following blocks are available:
- Tongue-groove Ytong blocks with the S + GT mounting bracket - designed for erecting structural walls with thin joints. Due to the tongue-and-groove profiled front surface, the vertical joint is not filled with mortar. Additionally, the front surfaces are milled with handles to facilitate the transport and positioning of the blocks.
- Ytong blocks profiled with a tongue and groove S - blocks with a thickness? 200 mm, which due to their low weight do not have mounting brackets and are only equipped with tongue-and-groove profiling of the side surface. The vertical joint is not filled with mortar.
- Smooth Ytong blocks with GT mounting bracket - are used for erecting basement and foundation walls with filled vertical joints. Additionally, in the front surfaces, handles are milled to facilitate the transport and positioning of the blocks.
- Ytong supplementary blocks - intended for supplementing walls with a height not being a multiple of 20 cm. ul. >
