How is rock wool made, why is it worth choosing PETRALANA stone wool?
PETRALANA insulation materials are used to insulate buildings. They are made of lava, obtained by melting rocks at over 1500 degrees. They are then defibrated, shaped and fixed. The end result is a material that resembles raw sheep's wool.
The benefits of using stone wool insulation materials are divided into three main groups:
< div>Thermal Insulation
Mineral rock wool, as a thermal insulation material, ensures maximum insulation of the building in winter. In summer, it prevents the interior from heating up, especially when the temperatures reach the highest values. Rock wool, which is produced in Poland, in the PETRALANA factory in Bytom, is a product characterized by very good thermal insulation properties. The basic parameter determining the quality of this product is Lambda, i.e. the thermal conductivity coefficient. The lower its value, the better the thermal insulation of the product. Most of the materials produced by PETRALANA are below 0.035 W / Mk, which makes them stand out among similar products.
Fire Insulation
Mineral stone wool products have the highest fire resistance class A1, which makes them completely non-flammable and provides excellent fire insulation. In the event of a fire hazard, mineral rock wool acts as a protection that delays the spread of flames. At the same time, in direct contact with fire, it does not produce harmful smoke and burning drops. This makes it much easier to take appropriate firefighting measures.
Acoustic Insulation
Mineral stone wool is the only acoustic insulation with such high sound absorption and attenuation parameters. & amp; ldquoSkalna ”acoustic insulation effectively reduces noise, even the noise of very high intensity. The acoustic insulation of the Polish product is known practically all over Europe and puts them at the forefront of stone wool materials available on the market.
